Debotakhum is a khum located in Rowangchhari of Bandarban district. Devtakhum is located in Shilbandha para of Rowangchhari upazila, 20 km from Bandarban district town. The depth of Khum here is 50 to 70 feet. It is bigger than Velakhum in Thanchi, another popular tourist spot in Bandarban.
Debotakhum is also known as Sona Khum. Many also call it Thongchi Khum in Marma language. Many also say Debota Khum. Debota Khum is about 600 feet tall. The story behind the naming of this Khum is quite interesting.
It is said that there are two god fish in this khum. There are two gold pendants in the ears of the two fishes. Many of the surrounding villages have seen two fish at different times. But the interesting thing is that due to supernatural power, the two fish are never caught in anyone's net. Even once some bom boys poured poison to kill fish in the whole water of Khum. However, the two fish remained intact.

Itinerary
Day-0: Travel to Bandarban by bus from Dhaka.
Day--1: Get down to Bandarban and get fresh and have breakfast. After breakfast, take a jeep from Bandarban to Rowangchari Bazar. From there I will have breakfast in the morning of Army Procedures and explore a trail including Reserve Falls. Then we will go to Chander/CNG to Kachchapatli and take lunchtime. At night there will be turtles and there will be music and chat.
Day--2: Breakfast in the morning and from there I will go to Debotakhum while arriving later
If there is enough time, I will come to Kachapatali after seeing the Shilbadha waterfall. After that, I will come to Bandarban.
After having dinner at 9 o'clock by bus, journey to Dhaka.
I will be in Dhaka on the morning of the 11th.
